Marketing Online como soporte publicitario… Y ¿Por qué no un canal de venta?

Todos los expertos del marketing y la publicidad coinciden en que el marketing online llegará a cobrar la misma importancia que medios como la televisión, diarios, revistas o radio en los años venideros. Y ciertamente el crecimiento que está experimentando este sector es espectacular, pero no sólo es el futuro, el marketing online es ya una realidad, sólo hace falta observar la inversión que ya ha alcanzado este medio en países como Estados Unidos, Reino Unido o Alemania y la evolución de la inversión desde el año 2003.

Sabiendo esto, resulta sorprendente los presupuestos tan precarios que se destinan a este soporte publicitario así como el esfuerzo que dedican los departamentos de marketing de las grandes empresas de nuestro País.

Creo que no me equivoco en decir, que todos hemos leído o escuchado que internet nos otorga la capacidad de analizar la respuesta de los consumidores ante los diferentes anuncios que vemos en Internet y que TODO es medible en el marketing online(se puede cuantificar el número de impresiones, clics recibidos, compras, he incluso analizar cualquier otro comportamiento análogo de los usuarios). Aún así, los publicistas son reacios a invertir mas dinero en este medio, quizás por no ser el medio más idóneo a la hora de generar una imagen general de Marca.

Un pequeño anuncio en un portal o un periódico online no va a tener la misma repercusión que en televisión (creo que en ese sentido estaremos de acuerdo). Pero, no obviamos que los usuarios de internet, como norma general cuando navegan, ya tienen en la cabeza que es lo que quieren buscar, ya sea información o incluso comprar algún producto que hayan visto en una tienda o que estén publicitando en una revista, radio o televisión. Y dicho esto, ¿Por qué no aprovecharlo y en vez de realizar campañas de “Branding” sin sentido, dirigimos nuestros esfuerzos en la comercialización y venta de nuestros productos?. En este sentido, los buscadores son el canal idóneo para ello, y en especial Google, que es donde el 95% de los usuarios de Internet españoles realizan sus búsquedas.

He comentado anteriormente que en Internet, todo se puede medir. Así que vamos a aprovecharnos de ello.

Podemos cuantificar con gran exactitud los clics recibidos, impresiones, etc… pero sobretodo nos otorga la capacidad de analizar los comportamientos de los usuarios cuando navegan por los websites, donde permanecen más tiempo, que productos son los más visitados, de donde proceden (demográficamente) e incluso en algunos casos, la edad y el sexo de los usuarios, y resumiendo que estoy alargando en exceso el artículo (Habrá una segunda parte), nos proporciona tanto los datos, como el soporte o canal necesarios para la venta de nuestros productos.

Esta cuestión nos plantea un dilema que trataré en el siguiente post:

Realmente, ¿quién o qué departamento de una empresa debería de responsabilizarse de la inversión Online? Marketing…. Ventas….. o quizás ambos dos juntitos pero no revueltos.
