Perfil de los usuarios de Twitter

Según el último estudio de The Cocktail Analysis, ya es posible tener un retrato robot de los usuarios de Twitter en España y Latinoamérica. Según estos resultados, el 75% de los usuarios son varones, el 56% tiene entre 21 y 30 años y el 83% está relacionado con algún tipo de blog. Más de la mitad (un 52%) la utiliza como herramienta profesional.

El estudio es el resultado de una encuesta a 1.756 usuarios. Las perspectivas de Twitter son bastante buenas, ya que el 93% de los encuestados afirma sentirse satisfecho con la experiencia de uso de la herramienta.

Por otro lado, las tres cuartas partes de los usuarios (73%) se acerca a Twitter varias veces al día, de los cuales, dos de cada cinco (40%) se conectan desde un dispositivo móvil. En cualquier caso, Twitter se encuentra a años luz de distancia de plataformas como Facebook, Myspace o la española Tuenti en cuanto a número de usuarios.

Aunque la herramienta se creó para informar sobre lo que el usuario está haciendo en cada momento, un 52% de los encuestados utiliza Twitter para “diseminar ideas o reflexiones”, alimentando las reflexiones que señalan a Twitter como un servicio de microblogging. Por último destacar que dos de cada tres de los contactos de Twitter son personas conocidas a través de la herramienta.

Ahora bien, a todos nos asalta la duda de la rentabilidad de Twitter. ¿Cómo conseguirán monetizar la herramienta? ¿Publicidad quizás?
